Clan Scott Society Genealogist

The mission of the Clan Scott Society Genealogist is to educate and assist Clan members with effective genealogical research methods and techniques.  Using these tools, members will be better equipped to prepare, implement, and maintain their family history and foster their Scottish heritage.

The Clan's Genealogist may author articles in official Society publications and web sites, provide presentations on genealogical research at Society functions, compile make available member ancestral information, prepare resource bibliographies for members to use in their quest for family and Scottish history, and develop an effective Clan Scott Society Network.

The Clan Scott Society Genealogy Committee may advise on how to conduct a search or areas of potential useful source material for Scott surname-related genealogy research.  It does not conduct private research, nor does it maintain a public searchable genealogical database.  However, it does maintain a growing member-contributed ancestral database, exclusively for research by Clan Scott Society members in good standing.
